Whether it is a new build housing development or a refurbishment on a nursing home all DéCorer’s jobs are treated exactly the same. We give our clients a realistic time-scale and budget which we stick to using our skills in project management. Residential housing includes the following types of jobs: new build developments, social housing, regeneration projects and residential and car homes.
New Build Developments
DéCorer work with national home-builders including Cameron Homes, David Wilson, Willmott Dixon, J Harper, Lioncourt Homes, McCarthy & Stone and Orbit Housing to name a few, on new build developments. This means working on 20 new build sites in many areas such as Shifnal, Warton, Nuneaton, Hinkley, Polesworth, Hilton, Darlaston, Wolverhampton, Smethwick, Rugby, Leicester, Derby, Burton, Mickleover and Telford. These are often ongoing contracts that require us to work to artists impressions and strict guidelines. These types of new build projects normally begin with a show flat or home which is neutrally decorated to entice buyers. With the governments ‘Help to Buy’ scheme the demand for new build homes has dramatically increased. DéCorer have a large, highly skilled workforce who are capable of dealing with this high demand industry.
Social Housing
Many of our social housing projects are ongoing contracts that include both internal and external painting and redecoration. Quite often we are required to work around current residents with minimal disruption and maximum sensitivity. All our staff have been trained to the highest standard and have a wealth of experience within the social housing sector.
Nursing and Residential Homes
At DéCorer we pride ourselves on the work we have completed within the care sector. Our work includes both new build care homes and the refurbishment of existing properties. We manage all our projects in house from start to finish; this includes the completion of an initial show room for use as a sales office.
It is essential that our team works to a tight schedule with a quick turnaround on new builds as the decorating is quite often one of the final stages before opening. Whilst working on refurbishments we are often required to work around current residents and we aim to reduce the amount of disruption.
